A meeting of the Town Board Water Committee was held on June 29, 2006 in the Town of Moreau Office Building, 61 Hudson Street, South Glens Falls, New York.

The Water Committee Meeting was opened at 4:30 p.m.

Also Present: Tim Burley, Engineer for the Town and Mike Shaver, Water Superintendent

Tim Burley brought the Water Committee up to date on the cost to Water District 6 in debt.

There was a great deal of discussion about how to set water rates.

There are currently 884 EDU’s as mobile homes are done at .72 EDU’s.

Tim Burley told the Water Committee that the debt is approximately $150.00 per year, per EDU. This will be our first water district with a debt. We need to find a fair way to collect this from everyone in the water district.

There was talk about minimum fees, once a year fee on tax bills for the debt and then water rates.

Committee meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
