DRAFT MINUTES - NOT APPROVED BY BOARD YET

A workshop was held by the Town Board of the Town of Moreau on May 1, 2003 in the Town Office Building, 61 Hudson Street, South Glens Falls, New York, for the purpose of discussing a draft proposed Waste Law.

Supervisor Gutheil commenced the workshop at 6:10 p.m.

Supervisor Gutheil had written a few notes on his draft of changes that he recommended. He shared his comments with the other Board Members.

The Board talked about how long this draft has been worked on and when the current moratorium expires and it was determined that it expires June 1^st.

Supervisor Gutheil said he would put this on the agenda for the next Town Board Meeting and the Board could decide then if they wanted to extend the moratorium or let it expire and pick this law up later on to redraft.

The Board also discussed the possibility of inserting a severability clause of sorts so that if a portion of the draft law were struck down in court the rest would still apply.

The workshop was concluded at 6:50 p.m.
