A bid opening was held on May 17, 2006 in the Town of Moreau Office Building, 61 Hudson Street, South Glens Falls, New York for the purpose of receiving and opening bids for tree and stump removal along Town Highway Right-of-Ways.

The bid opening commenced at 3:21 p.m.

The following Notice to Bidders was published in the Glens Falls Post Star in the legal ad section on May 2, 2006:

Notice to Bidders

The Town of Moreau will accept sealed proposals to furnish the removal of trees and tree stumps in accordance with Town of Moreau Highway Specifications. Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained at the office of the Town Clerk, 61 Hudson Street, in said Town during regular business hours. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the words "Removal of Trees and Tree Stumps Proposal" written on the outside of the envelope. The blank spaces in the proposal must be filled in, and no change shall be made in the phraseology of the proposal. Proposals that carry any omissions, erasures, alterations, or additions may be rejected as informal. Sealed proposals will be accepted up until 3:15 p.m. on May 17, 2006 at the Town of Moreau Office Building, 61 Hudson Street, South Glens Falls, New York, when they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Town Board reserves the right to reject parts of any or all bids.
