A month-end meeting was held by the Town Board of the Town of Moreau on September 27, 2006 in the Town of Moreau Office Building, 61 Hudson Street, South Glens Falls, New York.

At 3:30 p.m. the following were present for the audit meeting:

Town Board Members Present:

Bob Prendergast Councilman

Niki Baker Councilwoman

Also Present: Barbara Mose, Deputy Town Clerk; Steve Barody, Highway Sueprintendent;

Mike Shaver, Water Superintendent; Steve Gram, Recreation Director; Rudolph Klick, Special

Projects Aide; Peggy Jenkins, Assessor; and Tim Burley, Engineer for the Town.

Supervisor Gutheil entered the meeting at 3:45 p.m. and Councilman Kusnierz arrived at

3:50 p.m.

Town Board Members Absent:

Rich Hewlett Councilman

The Department Heads did not have to stay as there were no questions for them.

Mike Shaver stayed to talk about the water project with Tim Burley.

Tim Burley asked the Board for a legal boundary amendment to water district 6.

There are a few families who want to be hooked up to the water and they extend,

approximately, 650 feet beyond the existing district.

Tim stated that we have a verbal from the State that we are environmentally safe to

add to the District. We will take advantage of Bat-Con being on site to have this additional

work done. We will not be able to hook people up until the District’s amendment is in place.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Baker and seconded by Councilman Prendergast

to amend the legal boundary of Water District 6 by 650 feet to extend down Fawn Road and

Fortsville Road.

Roll Call vote resulted as follows:

Councilman Hewlett Absent

Councilwoman Baker Aye

Councilman Kusnierz Aye

Supervisor Gutheil Aye

Councilman Kusnierz asked Tim Burley about the culverts on Clark Road. Tim said that they

were going to be putting in twin pipes made out of aluminum material.

The painter has moved in for the water tower. If the weather holds out they should be finished in approximately three weeks.

The voucher for the rental of trucks to transport the voting machines to the different locations

was discussed. Since the County has taken over the elections, the bill should go to them,

but we are still waiting to hear from the County. In the future the County wants us to get written permission from them before renting the trucks.

Because the Town Board did not want the vendor to wait for payment, it will be taken out

of the referendum special election account. We will then seek reimbursement from the County.

The other voucher that was discussed was the Assessor’s trip to Ithaca. There was a question

as to whether it should have been for 5 or 6 nights. It was decided to pay the full amount of

the voucher unless otherwise stated by Peggy.

Jeanne Fleury put in a voucher for repairs to the copier in her office. She wants them charged

to the Town Hall Building. The Board agreed that it should be charged to the Town Hall.

Jeanne’s election mileage will be handled the same way as the rental trucks. We will request

reimbursement from the County.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Baker and seconded by Councilman Kusnierz to pay for

the new folding machine out of the following water accounts equaling $2895.00 plus a transfer of $2606.00 from A1620.472 Building Repairs to A1330.2 Tax Collection Equipment.
