The Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Moreau is
responsible for the collection of Town & County
Taxes for the Town of Moreau and School Taxes for
the South Glens Falls Central School District, which
includes properties located within the Town of
Moreau,
Village of South Glens Falls, Town of
Wilton and Town of Northumberland.
Tax payments may be paid in person at the Town
Clerk’s Office, 351 Reynolds Road, Moreau, New York
12828-9261, by mail, or online by clicking the links
below. You
may also drop your payment by check in the black drop box in
the front of court entrance to the Town Hall
building after hours. Payments dropped in the box
will be considered received at 8:00 AM the next
business day.
When mailing a payment, please include the entire
original bill with your payment if you would like to
receive a receipt for your payment. When paying in
person, the fastest way to pay is by check with your
entire bill, which we will stamp "PAID" for your
records.

January 1, 2024 through
January 31, 2024 without penalty
February 1, 2024 through February 28, 2024 - 1%
penalty
March 1, 2024 through March 31, 2024 - 2% penalty
plus a $2.00 reminder notice fee.
The U.S. Postal
Service Postmark determines whether a payment is
timely or not. Postage meter marks are
not
considered a U.S. Postmark. Payments
received after the due date and bear a postage meter
mark will be returned for the penalty amount due.
After March 31st, Town & County Taxes are turned over to the
Saratoga County Treasurer’s Office for collection
where
additional penalties and fees are added. Please
contact their offices at (518) 884-4724 for an amount due and
the method of payments that are accepted.
Payments made to Saratoga County for back taxes will
not appear on the website or in the Town database.
ONLINE TAX PAYMENT INFO
You may pay your taxes on-line 24 hours a day, 7
days a week by using your Visa, MasterCard or
Discover credit card (2.5% convenience fee will
apply – with a minimum fee of $2.00, whichever is
greater), Visa Debit card ($3.95 preferred
convenience fee or a 2.5% standard convenience fee
will apply: fee to be determined by Visa), or by
Electronic Check ($2.00 flat fee will apply).
Convenience fees and flat fees are collected by the
web service provider, not by the Town of Moreau.
Online tax payments for the Town and County bill
will not be accepted after March 31st of each year.
Partial payments cannot
be made through the online tax payment system.
Payments made to Saratoga County for back taxes will
not appear on the website or in the Town database.
You will receive an email
confirmation of your payment.
The website will not
reflect your payment until it is updated the next
business day.
