The Receiver of Taxes
for the Town of Moreau is responsible for the
collection of Town & County Taxes for the Town of
Moreau and School Taxes for the South Glens Falls
Central School District for properties located
within the Town of Moreau and Village of South Glens
Falls.
Tax payments may be
paid in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, 61 Hudson
Street, South Glens Falls, New York.
We currently accept cash or check.
Tax payments are also accepted via mail.
The U.S. Postal Service Postmark determines
whether a payment is timely or not.
Town & County Tax Collection Period:
January 1st
through January 31st without penalty
February 1st
through February 28th with 1% penalty fee
March 1st
through March 31st with 2% penalty fee
plus a $2.00 Late Notice Fee
After March 31st
Town & County Taxes are turned over to the Saratoga
County Treasurer’s Office for collection and
additional penalties and fees are added.
School Tax Collection Period:
September 1st
through September 30th without penalty

October 1st
through October 31st a 2% penalty fee is
due
