The Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Moreau is responsible for the collection of Town & County Taxes for the Town of Moreau and School Taxes for the South Glens Falls Central School District for properties located within the Town of Moreau and Village of South Glens Falls.

Tax payments may be paid in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, 61 Hudson Street, South Glens Falls, New York.  We currently accept cash or check.  Tax payments are also accepted via mail.  The U.S. Postal Service Postmark determines whether a payment is timely or not. 

 

Town & County Tax Collection Period:

January 1^st through January 31^st without penalty

February 1^st through February 28^th with 1% penalty fee

March 1^st through March 31^st with 2% penalty fee plus a $2.00 Late Notice Fee

After March 31^st Town & County Taxes are turned over to the Saratoga County Treasurer’s Office for collection and additional penalties and fees are added.

 

School Tax Collection Period:

September 1^st through September 30^th without penalty (these dates may vary slightly each year please contact the Receiver of Taxes at (518) 792-1030 for up-to-date information).

October 1^st through October 31^st a 2% penalty fee is due

The U.S. Postal Service Postmark determines whether a payment is timely or not.
